The Muslims Finally Got Something Right
I was interested to read this about creationism in Turkey -- a country that is apparently more hostile to the idea of evolution than our own great country of America. I was very saddened by that statistic, if only because it is a slap in the face of all good Christians in this country that Turkey, a place of heathens and very garlic-y food, is more dedicated to the words of God than America. But take heart true Christians, the Turks will all burn in Hell when their time comes, regardless of their righteousness in the arena of creationism.
My real reason for this post, however, was to comment on one of the claims made by an author of a Turkish creationism book, specifically that Darwin is responsible for terrorism. At first, I thought this was simply raving from a heathen in denial of his place in Hell, since Muslims are responsible for terrorism. And while I still believe that Muslims are indeed the only real terrorists in the world, the author makes a point, This is because the West's love of Darwin and evolution has made us weak in the eyes of the Lord, thus making it possible that Islam is any threat to our nation. For this obsession with Darwin has distracted the powers that be of the holy righteousness of the Lord and absolute correctness of the Bible, such that they are unable to combat Muslim terrorists with the powers vested in Christians by God to combat the existence of such filth as Islam. If only our people and leaders would embrace the Old Testament and forget about the claims of a disgusting man such as Darwin, we could put Islam in its place such that whatever Muslim we did not keep in a cage or kill would be too terrified by the wrath of God to ever attempt to harm us. But no, instead our leaders are distracted by keeping evolution in schools and denying the truth of the Bible. This allows terrorism to flourish, and this is why Darwin is, like the Turkish guy said, really responsible for terrorism.

I have to disagree. The root of terrorism is in people who believe so strongly in something that they are willing to harm other people to try and force them to believe the same thing, or at least to act according to those beliefs. Blind faith, as emphasized by both the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim religions is simply something that is especially vulnerable to that type of over-zealous reaction.
Sorry for the error in the previous post. The word "both" should be removed.
Nathaniel, this post seems to advocate the extermination of Muslims. I thought you were against the death penalty, believing that it is always possible for people to repent of their sins (as is stated in the Bible). Exterminating Muslims would make it impossible for them to repent, and thereby doom them to hell. Is not your goal to avoid having ANYONE go to hell by bringing over to the Christian faith? It seems as though the approach you mention would be counterproductive to that end.
Terrorism stems from self-righteousness and hate, not from any specific ideology.
I just read this http://tinyurl.com/yy7qlx
What is your opinion Nathaniel/Parnell?
It would also be great if you could answer my above question.
Good to see that your logic is as rusty as ever. You've been drinking too much holy water. The principle of evolution is simply that things adapt to new situations. That's it. Darwin was wrong on several points of what came from what, but I can't remember them all. Lets also keep in mind that for awhile Christian scholars actually liked the idea of evolution as pertaining to spiritual development, and that religions evolved into Christianity.
Darwin was like any other guy that found something interesting and wanted to bring it into the world. If it wasn't Darwin it would have been some other guy. What I don't understand is why people can't see evolution as a possible tool of the Lord anyway. Looking past what animals come from, we can also look at how it happened. True that Nature tries various things and having different species that have different adaptations to the same situation, but sometimes its interesting how genes just seem to know exactly what to work on over the next hundred years or so to make something work. I think that there's plenty of coincidences in science and mathematics that make it easy to believe that an outside force made the laws of the universe, lit a match, and said "have at it!"
Terrorists come in many forms. Communists, Muslims, animal rights activists, Christians, narcissistic asswipes, and horror movie makers (that last one is a joke). It's also easy to call evangilists terrorists to a small degree. They 'black mail' you into 'g1v3ng t3hm yUr m0n3y' in exchange for not becoming a smoked trout on Satan's grill. Scaring people into doing something. Sounds familiar to anyone?
Difference with you is that your not trying to sell us something right now.
Quite a few questions from both me and others have gone unanswered recently, so Ill post them all up here in the hopes that theyll be seen and responded to for the sake of clarity on the points Nathaniel and Parnell are trying to make. Here goes:
Dr. Parnell- Do you believe in stem cell research on the stem cells of sinners condemned to die, since through their sins they have forfeited the life of their cells?
Nathaniel-
You agree that those stricken with cancer should try to treat it? I was under the impression that you believed such diseases are the will of God and should be left alone.
What's wrong with being left-handed?

If you both could clear these up for us that would be great. Thanks.
I am muslim... I really dont understand your irrational hate of muslims who have done NOTHING to you. I am a pretty strict muslim and I dont have a shred of hate for any Christian who has done me no wrong. Its is just odd.
