Abortion Poem II: Scab
The poem below is something I wrote that wasn't inspired by anything in particular other than the fact that abortion is murder and occurs every day in this country. Hopefully, Harriot Miers is the evangelical Christian our great President has made her out to be and will overturn Roe v. Wade. Anyway, the poem:
Scab
Hush child,
Your heart beats,
But your mother will make it stop.

Because your mother wants...

I'm glad you like it. I probably would have been aborted had my mother been impregnated AFTER Roe v. Wade. You too, brother. Let's pray that judicial activism is ended.
nate: when the end times come, we won't have to worry about the 7.9 trillion dollars in debt. the only debt you or i have to worry about is our debt to jesus.
also, a woman who is raped should still not be allowed to have an abortion. God chose her and has a plan for her child. if she doesn't want the baby, give it up for adoption. it seems that you suffer from what most people in this nation suffer: an inability to sacrifice for the lord.
Only God has the right to choose life or death, regardless of the suffering we must endure to protect life. If a woman doesn't want to pay for a child, then put it up for adoption -- there are thousands of willing parents on waiting lists. Otherwise, you are simply arguing that we should murder a child because a woman will get fat for 9 months. that is unacceptable and selfish.
no, not everyone but me is crazy; but everyone who is not a good christian has been corrupted by the Devil. and i'm not quite sure what the troops have to do with anything. i would agree, however, that it is a pointless war -- our troops should only be used to spread the word of God and wipe sin from the Earth.
melania -- perhaps one day i will grow a uterus, because the world in which you wish us to live will be so overcome by sin, we will allow scientists to genetically alter men so everyone can experience what it's like to be woman. In fact, liberals will demand it be so under the equal protection clause of the Constitution. and whether or not you actually believe it wrong that we force men to grow uteruses, you'll nonetheless say nothing because that would be judgmental. We should just leave them be and let God be the judge. Well sorry; if i see murder happening every day and allowed under the laws of my country, I'm going to write a poem about it!
What about if the child puts the life of the mother in danger? Diabetics for instances, in severe cases are put into a coma by the hormonal changes that pregnancy wreaks on the female body.
Sirius - Just because the men grow uteruses doesn't mean they don't still have... other parts. And I am not going to get into that any further because I am slightly creeping myself out.
I do not agree with abortion, but I agree with free will, and that a woman has a right to make choices reguarding her own body. YES even if it is a fetus which will become another person. After all, children are under their parents care anyway - how many parents murder their children in the United States? Maybe not that many, but it does happen, it has happened, it will happen again. How many children get beaten because their parents get drunk, or are on crack highs, or other horrible conditions? Its a tough call whether or not these children would have been better off not being born at all. At least, for me it is.
