Ban Stem Cell Research and all other cell research

I am a lover of life. I believe that human life is the most important thing in the world. Therefore, I am against anything that would destroy human life in the name of "science" and "research." Therefore, I am adamantly opposed to stem cell research because it involves the taking of human life in order to support sime evil, grisly scientific experiment to be carried out by some immoral scheming scientist in some horrible lab. Therefore, I believe that all stem cell research should be banned -- and not just embryonic stem cell research, but ALL stem cell research!! It is appaling to me that we would use precious stem cells for various lab experiments and what not! Well, you may wonder: "Why can't we use stem cells for research as long as they are not embryonic stem cells?" My answer to that: STILL UNACCEPTABLE!! Because, my dear misguided people, stem cells are still stem cells, even if they are not embryonic stem cells! If a stem cell is not an embryonic stem cell, does that make it no longer a stem cell?? I certainly thank not!! Therefore, you should clearly see how the use of any stem cells for science and research is so very wrong! So very wrong indeed! This argument should not be questioned or doubted - period!

Now, lets take this one step further. What about the human cells that are not stem cells? What about these cells? Are they not a form of human life? Of course they are! They are life! And they are Oh So Precious! They are Oh So Very Precious! Therefore, they must not be used for any form of research! Do you want to be a part of the culture of life? Then you must oppose the use of human cells for scientific research - period! You may feel that this position is unreasonable - Well Tough! Because it does not matter what you "feel". What do you think life is? Some kind of "new age" therapy session, where we all talk about how we "feel", so that we can try to justify, using Satan's "logic", that it is OK to use human cells, created by God, for grissly scientific research? NO! The only thing that matters is what's in the bible, and the last time I checked, the bible does not condone the taking of human life. The bible does not make any kind of distinction between human life as a whole or the human life that is inherent within our individual cells. Therefore, we must stop this insanity of using human cells for scientific research. I have much more to write on this subject later on, including my public condemnation of a young boy I know of, who is afflicted with juvenile diabetes, and he has the horrible audacity and the absolute selfishness to "wish" that stem cell research will expand, so that a cure "might" be found to a condition which almighty God WILLED him to have!! Unbelievable!!

You forgot to capitalize Bible. Oh who am I kidding, you can't spell, why should you care about something as simple as respecting the name of the book(s) you claim contain(s) the word of God?
Anyway, I was just checking in. Good to see you still haven't gotten over the whole split personality joke you're playing.

And I hope, good Sir, that you remain adamently opposed to any and all forms of stem cell research because it kills human life. I also hope and pray that you get out there and start working to condemn those children afflicted with medical conditions, who would so selfishly "wish" for a cure that "might" be gained by destroying precious stem cells, when such children clearly have been afflicted with their medical conditions according the righteous will of Almighty God!

Scenario: Someone has some cancer cells removed, and a doctor wants to research these cells to try to find a cure for cancer. Do you consider that wrong as well? If so, why?

Parnell-
"...working to condemn those children afflicted with medical conditions..."

Are you telling him to kill these children? Because the word condemn would be used to kill someone in the way you used it. Which of course is hypocritical.
Although I have to agree that the kid with diabetes is making a false hope. Diabetes is a sugar imbalance. How the hell is stem cell research supposed to cure that?
Anywho, stem cells obtained from the embilical cord are doomed to die in the first place. The embilical rots, and in some animals would be eaten. Why the hell shouldn't THOSE stem cells be used when they would rot anyway.
Although I have to agree about not using embryo's for stem cell research. Those ones have potential for INTELLIGENT human life, and besides that it's a pittance compared to what the embilical can supply.
Human cells die all the time, and we can study cells in ways that don't even involve killing them off. You have no knowledge of the human body. Lets also take note that the human body delibrately kills off certain cells on a regular basis.

My tidbits regarding stem cell research is not only the waste of potential human life (stem cells from the embilical, to my knowledge, cannot be used to make an embryo and do not count), but all the people that want to study it are mostly zealous and want to 'help' people who have diseases that most of them caused themselves.

Alright, that went in a direction I didn't think it would. Thank you for paying attention to your spelling and such. I opposed the use embryonic stem cells because I agree that it is in a way murder, but other forms of stem cell research I have little problem with.

To put it simply, if someone can either sacrifice a small part of their body to save the rest of it or sacrifice their life to save other lives, so too can people sacrifice small parts of themselves to save people's lives and body parts. Something as simple as a sneeze or as complex as removing a gangrenous limb or tumor would make a good example of the first, while allowing a scientist to take some stem cells from your nose for research is an example of the second. Life is a precious thing and we as the caretakers of the Earth need to protect and nurture it where and when we can. If it makes you feel any better, Jesus is said to have sacrificed himself for the greater good. I'm sure many of his cells were destroyed. Moses risked his own life to save those of his people. There are many examples of this familiar concept throughout the various holy books of the world, including your Book.

What you seemed to be suggesting in your response to my question about the death penalty was that once a human has committed a heinous sin such as murder, they have committed that sin with "every fibre of their being." Therefore you believe that their life, and the life of their cells, is forfeit. Would you take issue with research on stem cells from those condemned to death? Also, how do you know that God gives diseases to people? Couldn't it just as easily be the devil attempting to strike down those that would otherwise be stalwart Christians?

I mean no offense by this, but diabetes is caused be a deficiency in insulin, which manages sugar. Basically if you have diabetes, your pancreas doesn't produce enough insulin. So diabetes is caused by the malfunctioning of the pancreas, which could, in theory, be repaired with stem cells.

Ah Ryven! Thanks you.
Do you see Nathaniel and Parnell? THIS is why God gave woman to man. Its so that the truth can be put forth even when the man makes a dumbass of himself. Not to be his toady, but to be a companion to further along life and to help promote intelligence from a different standpoint. It's people like Ryven that should be talking about politics, not you.
And apparently not I. So I'll end my stand in this debate by repeating my first two sentences.
"Ah Ryven! Thank you."

Whoa, super-flattery from Three Headed Grinch! ^^;

Thanks a bunch ^^ As for politics, though, I'd rather opt out. There are too much politics in politics *laughs* It's like highschool all over again, but instead of cheerleaders and football players, it's rich old men and wrinkly June Cleavers.
