Pat Robertson the Visionary

I know I said I was back in my last post, and I am; but unfortunately I have my sister in town this week, which is taking up most of my attention. She has required a lot of prayer, due to her disposal of Jesus from her life, and I fear for her eternal soul. Certainly, she, like every woman, is in need of a good Christian man to lead her away from damnation, someone who can be gentle yet be willing to punish her with a good slap (open handed, of course) when needed.

Anyway, this was in the news yesterday, and it made me very troubled yet excited -- troubled because I fear the wrath of God will soon be upon us and excited because I too have been sensing that God would unleash His anger upon America in the form of tsunamis. Not that I am claiming to be the visionary that Pat Robertson has proven to be, but I believe my constant prayer and attention to being a good Christian has left me with an ability to sense what's on the mind of God. It is He who has pushed me to keep this site alive, to keep pushing through with His message, despite all the disbelief and Satanic comments that stream through; and now, like Pat Robertson, I am being clued in to His plan of punishment for America.

I think you need a good Christian man- A real Christian man to slap you and show you that hitting a woman is nothing but cowardly and pathetic. How can you say that about your own sister? Brothers are supposed to protect their sisters, not find men who are willing to beat them.

ryven -- that was a very quick response. despite your constant arguing with me, I am beginning to feel that my preaching is beginning to touch you. you seem to be waiting for my posts, as though your soul needs them to grow. i recognize that you probably don't accept this yet, but i am quite confident that this site will make a Christian woman out of you yet!

with regards to your comment about my sister, i am no hypocrit -- sometimes women need to be beaten. that's a fact. and my sister is certainly no different from most women. in fact, i'm going to go out on a limb here and say most people need to be beaten; i pick on women, though, because society is so quick to protect them, when, in fact, pain is often times necessary to keep people from going astray from God. and given the woman's inherent closeness to the Devil it makes sense that they need to be beaten more than men.

and i hope your italicizing of "real" wasn't meant to imply that I'm not a real Christian. what's more real than insisting the Bible is the literal word of God?

A real christian revels in love, not hate.

I check here often because it's entertaining. I've made it one of my regular sites to check because I feel it's my duty to fight back -even if it is just over the internet with words- against the evil you're spewing forth. My soul isn't "growing" on your preaching, though I can say that it often pisses me off.

I seriously think you have some deep-seeded issues to work out, and I don't think Bible-obsession is the way to help yourself. Your constant attack on the female gender is a blatant cry for help. Were you beaten by women when you were growing up? Or perhaps abused in other ways, emotional or what-have-you? Because if that were the case, then you need some help, and I'd be willing to help you, if it meant you'd lay this hate to rest. Because it's still hate, but if it's hate with a reason (not a Biblical reason, but a mental reason), we can fix it.

And if you really must know, I have nothing really to do today, and when that happens, I generally just sift through the forums I post on and chat until I can think of something that needs to be done. That usually happens when I have days off of work.

Nathaniel, my godchild just said she wanted to cry for your sister. And I'm prone to agree with her.

Maybe the reason for your sister's "disposal" of Jesus in her life is because of the way you two were brought up. Children of fanatically religious parents have a tendency to either embrace their parents teachings with the same zealousness or reject them altogether.

I agree with you, Ryven. Everything he writes on this blog is a cry for help. Entertaining, yes, but also a cry for help.

ryven, led-head -- a cry for help? i am comfortable, happy. the only thing that bothers me at all in my life is the fact that such blessed people are so full of sin and face an eternity of hellfire. i weep for you. i just want to save your soul. you seem like good people, and i can tell from your comments you ache for the light of Jesus Christ. just imagine a person staring down at a car wreck, staring at hands outstretched, wanting to be pulled from the wreckage and from a certain death. that person staring down is me, and you all are the people screaming to be saved. led head, knowing that you have a god-child reading this makes me all the more desparate in my attempts to save people like yourself from themselves...

What you're offering isn't help. It's oppression and fear and hate. I refuse to be a part of religion that opppresses it's women and blames them for something that may or may not have happened eons ago. I won't be a part of a religion that openly hates people because they think or act differently than them. I won't be part of a religion that refuses to accept anything but what someone wrote thousands of years ago.

I'm glad to see that you think us good people, even if you still believe that we're "sinners damned to eternal hellfire". It seems that maybe we're wearing you down. But I cannot allow myself to be a part of a religion if it turns me into what you are.

I am also comfortable and happy. I'm healthy, I'm getting married, our finances are evening out, I have wonderful friends. My life is not a "car wreck". My life is wonderful. I don't believe that my life is horrible because rules in a book written thousands of years ago says it is. Or because a man who makes his wife sleep on the floor says it is.

Nathaniel, someone once said that the devil has no greater weapon than a person who is willing to do evil (read: things that cause others physical or mental anguish) in the name of God. Your blog provides an excellent illustration of this point.

Did you ever once stop to think that maybe, just maybe, it wasn't Jesus who took you to hell and showed you the torture chambers, but Satan? That he was trying to convince you that he was Christ so he could use you as such a weapon?

What? I'm speaking blasphemy? Well, think about it. If Satan is as powerful as you claim, certainly he could convince a mere mortal that he is Christ...if only for a little while.

And incidently, my godchild might read this blog, but she thinks you're dispicable!

led-head -- oh the irony of that child being called your "god child." if she indeed thinks i'm dispicable, then you've once again proved my point about children needing to be sent to Jesus camps, so they can fight the powerful mind-control devices of Satan minions, minions such as yourself.

as for your pseudo-quote, you assume evil is causing pain in the name of God. In the Bible, God, Himself, commanded his followers to commit pain and murder in His name. He is the opposite of evil, and I trust His message a lot more than anything you can say. it's why i'm devil-proof.

And how do you know for certain that it was God and not the devil? Hmmm?

Here's what my beloved god-child and I had to say about being devil proof:
My Godchild: Devil-proof sprays, clothing, food. We'll make millions!!!!!!
Led Head: All to be sold at the Jesus Loves Everything Superstores.
My Godchild: Wow, we could make the best spoof movie out of that blog
Led Head: Yeah.

BTW...Snazzlepuff is still bugging me about your Potterfic. When do we get it?

You keep going on about womens closeness to the devil when both Adam and Eve were tricked in to eating the apple by the devil according to your holy book. Why is that? When it wasn't Eve that convinced Adam to eat the apple, but Satan deluding Eve and then Adam for they were both weak of will and ignorant to evil. If men are so far from evil how was Adam able to be conviced to eat it as well?

Just throwing it out there,
TSC

PS: I'm curious about this Potter Fic you want to write. When do you intend to start on it? Or how far are you in the creation of a fanfiction designed to steer someone away from a work of fiction?

TSC -- woman was tricked by the devil, man was tricked by woman, because women hold the key to man's weakness -- sex. that is why it is important that women dress modestly, pornography be burned, etc.

i'm afraid you and snazzlepuf are going to have to wait awhile for Potterific. i've got some ideas, but it could take awhile for anything to come out of them, unless God chooses to bless me with some inspiration.

So what your saying is that Eve propositioned Adam with sex in order to get him to eat the apple?

Or are you saying that Eve was giving him dirty looks in order to get him to eat the apple?

I don't remember either of those things happening in the original story of Adam and Eve.

Perhaps your printed version tells a different story.

Just out of curiosity, do you remember what it was that Adam and Eve were supposed to get for eating the apples according to the devil. You know, the REAL reason that god got pissed. For that matter, do you remember what happened to the "snake" after the incedent?

Just seeing if your as knowledgeable about such things as the "heathens" that you're debating against.

A point for me, a point for Ryven and Wrin, and 0 points for Nathaniel and Parnell.

Lets see, we're ahead by how much now?

Oh, about an eternity of hellfire or two. Yes, there are two of them aren't there? Oh wait, that's what he's supposed to tell us...I stole his line. Darn.

Awwe, no points for me? Sad day! But I ever so enjoy backing Nathaniel into a moral corner and seeing him attempt to escape. Do I at least get a cookie?

tsc -- this is not a game, not a battle for points. but to quote the Bible:
"And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done... Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee..."

as for the snake, God cursed it and condemned it beneath cattle. But that is neither here nor there. it is common knowledge that the devil was cursed. he is the devil, after all.

awweee, look at me, give me some points for the so-called chalkboard...

If ya wouldn't mind, I would like the book and numbers on that. I'd like to see what you left out in between there.

As for the snake, he was originally a lizard and god condemned him to slither on his belly. That's what I was refering too.

One way or another, thank you for FINALLY replying to one of my posts.

Nevermind, found it myself.

I shall do more research in to this. However from what I have seen it would appear that Adam and Eve were both just kind of standing there and Adam just happened to be the second one to eat it.

Genesis 3:6 "When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate."

There was no temptation from Woman (Eve), she just happened to be the one that was talking to the snake at the time. Hell, she was more hesitant than Man (Adam).

Adam pretty much just stood around and waited to make sure he wasn't going to die from eating it. He didn't even try to stop her.

tsc -- that could certainly be a valid interpretation if not for the rest of the bible, particularly the new testament. i suggest you read timothy in the new testament. there is a long discussion about woman and original sin.

Well I'll be damned, you were right for once. It does say that garbage in the bible. Mind you, it says it in the new testament when the old testament specifically says that the bible is to be left unchanged... But that isn't the point here.

Now if you wouldn't mind answering some of my questions from previous threads. Such as why Parnell doesn't donate more money to the church. And for that matter how it was that he ended up with large ammounts of money.

I'm sure I have other question that have been left unanswered, I'll find them later, I have to go to work.

Just out of curiosity. How literally do you take the bible? Do you take it as the absolute unwavering truth or are their exceptions according to you in the bible?
